HIV/AIDS and Life-Skills Program

Rwanda has made significant strides in combating HIV/AIDS, achieving notable success in prevention, treatment, and reducing mother-to-child transmission. The country is on track to meet the ambitious UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets, aiming for 95% of people living with HIV knowing their status, 95% receiving antiretroviral treatment, and 95% achieving viral load suppression by 2030. While Rwanda is moving in the right direction, there is a lot more that needs to be done to significantly reduce the number of new HIV infections as years go by.

PACE AFRICA is keen to work with Government institutions and partners on reducing the number of new infections of HIV in the country.

Key aspects of this program include information campaigns in communities, schools, public spaces and door‐to‐door, to raise awareness of HIV prevention, treatment and behaviors. They also include targeted onsite activities that include distribution of preservatives and other materials that promote responsible behaviors.
